Aquila Hotels & Resorts Join Forces in Fight Against Food Waste
In Aquila Rithymna Beach we respect all the love, labor, and land that goes into creating every dish we make, and we try our best not to waste it.
Without compromising the superior experience that our visitors enjoy we offer food of best quality & quantity, we prefer local and seasonal products and we value food and the natural resources of our planet.
This summer, our hotel participates in the initiative “Hotel Kitchen” which is led by WWF Greece and aims at reducing food waste in the hotel sector. At this phase of the project, three Greek hotels are invited to take part in a pilot intervention to find ways to reduce- and gradually prevent- food waste with the support of a professional tool, developed in cooperation with the American Hotel & Lodging Association.
We believe in this initiative as Aquila Rithymna Beach strongly supports the protection of the environment.
